At Lettuce Sell Your Stuff, we strive for transparency and fairness in all transactions. This policy outlines the conditions for returns and refunds when using our resale services.
1. General Policy
- No Direct Purchases: Since we act as your selling agent (not the buyer), returns/refunds depend on the third-party platform’s (e.g., eBay, Facebook Marketplace) policies.
- Final Sales: Once an item sells and payment is processed, the transaction is typically final.
2. Buyer-Initiated Returns
If a buyer requests a return through the selling platform:
✅ Approved Returns: We comply with the platform’s return policy (e.g., eBay’s 30-day money-back guarantee).
✅ Refund Process:
- The buyer returns the item to us.
- We inspect for damage or misuse.
- If approved, we deduct refund costs (including original shipping and fees) from your sale proceeds.
3. Seller (Client) Responsibilities
- Item Accuracy: If a return occurs due to misrepresentation (e.g., undisclosed damage), you may be responsible for return costs.
- Non-Refundable Fees: Our commission and any listing fees are non-refundable, even if a buyer returns the item.
4. Exceptions
❌ No Refunds For:
- Buyers who change their mind (unless required by the platform).
- Items sold “as-is” or marked “final sale.”
- Shipping delays or carrier issues (claims must go through the shipping provider).
5. Disputes & Resolution
- Escalations: If a buyer disputes a sale, we’ll mediate per the platform’s policies.
- Chargebacks: If a buyer files a chargeback, we may withhold funds until resolved.
